Bwaj~

'Ello!

Sooo...

This young lady is called Adria. It was a sudden creative assault on my part when I read that some manga competition would be a bout vampires and love. So, while I really, really, really, really dislike all that Twlight-stuff I decided to write a story that has both vampires and love but not the hyped vampire-love. At the end, the vampire dies, his soul is set free, and everybody's happy. >:E

That one over there is... actually, it's fanart. For a book that'll be released this June. Retribution Falls by Chris. It's about airships, pirates, freebooters, air battles and friendshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip!
Uhm... if you like that kinda stuff you should buy it.
>_>

<_<

Am not too happy with my rendition of that character. Am not convinced.

Moar.

DON'T ASK MEEE!
The thing is... many months ago I came up with a story about one legendary treasure: A ship that can fly in the sky. (We had that in FFV, hadn't we? Oh bummer.) I thought it would be funny to have something like a legendary airship as a treasure. Not the gold coin treasures. A world in which people haven't yet figured out how to make ships fly, you know...
And the captain of some ship was a skinny blackhaired fellow with a drinking problem who's constantly up to no good.
When I read the first chapter of Ret Falls over at chriswooding.com and read the description of Frey... well, to make this short, in my mind, he looked like Erikssen. Still does, in a way.
I found that funny. (My sis' advice was to cast actors for the roles of the book's characters but I simply cannot find any actor that looks like Frey. So, no can do.)

That's all for today.

Doodledoodleblah! D:

Bweh.

Will hear the result of that dreadful paper tomorrow. I don't want to hear it! No, let me live in blissful denial! Please!! It was so dreadful! It deserves a capital d! Dreadful Paper! Yes, that's about right.

It's that kind of sinking feeling in your stomach when the teacher hands out your maths class test to you with a sad, slow shake of his head.
And truth be told... if I were to redo that pile of dreadful dreadfulness... I don't know whether I would do it.
The subject was nice but there wasn't much to use for that horrible craptastic excuse for a paper.

And that I kind of suck at this in the first place does not help! Or that the prof didn't really know what to tell us we should do. I don't expect to have her look over my shoulder all the time but some tiny infos as to how to write something like that would have been nice and appreciated. The stuff she ultimately told me didn't help to come up with a decent idea.

You know you should put something out of its misery when the only thing you're thinking while writing is "This is shit. This is shit. This is complete shit."

I feel better now. Thank you. I'll just get it over with and brace myself for the inevitable "this didn't work out at all."

At least other stuff is going fine.

I remember most of them

Cheers, everyone!

This one over there is one Dante. He's a fire elemental, though you wouldn't know as it's black and white. Normally, he has shoulders. Just... so you know.

He's a nice guy. A bit hysterical sometimes but a good fighter. Given that this story is quite olde and given that I had always loved the idea of every character fighting with a unique weapon, he uses katanas. Gosh, that's so... so...
nah, let's not go there. It's a colourful fantasy about the four elements, souls and zombies. (Zombies because they should be in every story! Even in love stories about weddings and strawberry pie.)

It's also about Adrian who sort of tags along because someone made his shop with antiques... go away. In a giant explosion.

Maybe he gets his money back at the end of the story.

Okay... erm.
I'll be leaving for home in a few hours and still have to pack.
Clothes, toothbrush, books, Uncharted and my sketch pad. That'll do.

See you all!
Saarland, here I come~<3

No sketches

Just text. (Wait! Don't go!)

I got curious again and had a look at the Comics in Leipzig-Forum, especially the competition-threads. Apparently, this year's connichi-manga-competition has already been launched a few weeks ago.
It's about fairy tales. And while I really like the idea of writing a story that feels like a fairy tale I am not too thrilled about taking some fairy tale and rewriting it. I have nothing against fantasy and stuff like that (actually, I love that genre a lot) but rewriting these stories has already been done to death. And I don't feel like I could come up with something that doesn't reek of "major plot twist at the end!!!11" (the prince is the dragon!).

Luckily, there's a third category.
Now one can draw an original story, eight to thirty-two pages long. 32!
That's quite a bunch of pages and leaves enough room to tell a short story.
Deadline is 15.07.09.

I might be just in time for this. (Ha, ha.)
